Green Lake Provincial Park, BC

Green Lake Provincial Park
Green Lake Provincial Park is 337 hectares containing open rangeland and forests of aspen and lodgepole pine.

The lake itself is 14 kilometres long, averaging 1.5 kilometres in width with an irregular shoreline of approximately 57 kilometres. The low flushing rate combined with the chemical composition in these warm shallow waters creates a greenish hue, hence the name.

A motorboat or canoe can be used to explore the shores and islands of this park making bird and wildlife viewing opportunities excellent. Local business operators provide boat rentals, supplies and even horseback riding.
